A native of Clemson, South Carolina, Brett was a standout baseball and football player at Daniel High School.  As a four-year starter for the Daniel Lions Baseball Team, he led the team in batting average, homeruns, and stolen bases and earned All Region Honors and was named to the Anderson Independent Newspaper All Area Baseball Team.  Brett was also a running back on the Lion’s football team that won the 1998 State AAA Football Championship.

After graduating from Daniel, Brett received an offer to play college baseball at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida where he played for two years until shoulder problems derailed his promising future and eventually resulted in career-ending surgeries.  Brett completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Leisure Administration.  He is enrolled in North Greenville University’s MBA Graduate Program.
