Jan McDonald is in her twenty-third year at North Greenville College and her fifteenth as Athletic Director. Under her leadership, North Greenville has risen from a junior college to a NAIA institution to a NCAA Division II institution. McDonald started the softball program at NGC in 1985. She led the softball team to two NJCAA Region X titles (1990, 1996) while North Greenville was a junior college. After North Greenville became a four-year institution, McDonald led the Lady Crusaders to the 2000 Mid-South Conference Championship. In addition to softball, McDonald has coached basketball and volleyball as an assistant and started the women's soccer program in 1986. She coached the team for two seasons.
McDonald earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Erskine College in 1982. In 1983, she earned a Master's Degree in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University.
A native of Fountain Inn, SC, McDonald now resides in Landrum, SC.
